About

Launched in November 2011, the Tulsa Book Review is published monthly by 1776 Productions, LLC on behalf of the Tulsa City-County Library.

Tulsa City-County Library launched the Tulsa Book Review to help foster a community of readers. The library’s mission is to help Tulsa County residents change their lives for the better. By offering the Tulsa Book Review to our community, the library is promoting literacy, which is key to a person’s success. Through literacy and self-directed lifelong learning, people gain choices allowing them to follow their individual dreams.

Each 16-page issue of the Tulsa Book Review features more than 55 reviews from 12 to 15 categories, ranging from mysteries and thrillers, to cookbooks and popular fiction, to biographies and memoirs, to picture books and teen reads.

Starting with the February 2012 issue, the Tulsa Book Review now  also includes Tulsa City-County Library’s monthly event guide, highlighting all the wonderful free programs for children, teens and adults offered by TCCL’s 25 locations. Events range from author visits and book reviews, to job labs and computer classes, to festivals and storytimes.
