Blacklist Volume 2: The Arsonist
Set during season 3 of the hit NBC show, /The Arsonist finds criminal mastermind Raymond Reddington and wrongly-accused agent Elizabeth Keen working in the shadows to clear her name. But when a jailbreak frees a dangerous underworld agent who uses fire to erase buildings and people, Red and Elizabeth believe he’s been unleashed to destroy any evidence that might prove her innocence. But with the FBI on their trail, agents from the sinister Cabal out to eliminate them, and the Arsonist pursuing his own fiery agenda, will anyone escape alive?
The Arsonist fits perfectly into the narrative world of The Blacklist, taking readers into secret hideouts, meetings among the Cabal, and, of course, Reddington’s jet-setting lifestyle on the run. The characters all feel true to the show, the set pieces are dynamic and exciting, and although you know that nothing can really happen to many of the characters in the TV universe, it remains a tense and enjoyable read.
With twists and turns galore, The Arsonist proves that the show has plenty of tricks still up its sleeve, and the comic book tie-in universe is in good hands.
