Cryptoassets: The Innovative Investor’s Guide to Bitcoin and Beyond
Bitcoin is all the rage these days; it’s often in the news mostly for its wild swings of value. Yet few people truly know what Bitcoin, or further cryptocurrencies, are or how they work or even how to invest in them. This book attempts to close that gap by going into detail about how Bitcoin works, how it is valued, and how investors can make money from it. While it briefly talks about other cryptocurrencies, the vast majority of the book is on Bitcoin itself. The first part is a tutorial on how the currency works, and the second part reads like a more standard investing book that you would find on bookshelves.
While Bitcoin has often been in the news, with most of the coverage negative, the authors pretty much choose to ignore the negative news and only focus on what they believe are positives. And this is one of the cases when looking at the authors before buying the book is important; they are hip deep in making Bitcoin a success, so they are very biased toward Bitcoin and its attributes and ignore all the bad stuff about it.
