Donald and the Golden Crayon: An “Unpresidented” Parody: A Book That Uses the Best Words

Donald and the Golden Crayon by P. Shauers is a political parody of Donald Trump and his time so far in office as President of the United States. The story is based on the 1955 popular children’s book, Harold and the Purple Crayon. While it closely resembles the basic storyline, in which the main character carries a crayon and draws things that come to life, it is also different in many ways. This version is obviously an adult book by the language and the suggestive content used throughout the pages (not suitable for children).

There is something to be said about free speech with which we are granted by living in the United States, but this book is clearly written from a one-sided perspective and honestly was hard to finish reading, but thankfully it is only a children’s book-length. It does not portray President Trump in a good light, which I’m sure was the author’s purpose. I may not be the most knowledgeable about Trump’s time in office, but I do know that someone cannot be as evil as they portray him to be, and he should be given some credit for the good that he has done in office.
