Driven (Deluxe Hardcover edition)
Elena has her hands full with (werewolf) Pack business, and just when she thought things might have calmed a bit, Malcolm Danvers, Jeremy’s father and general Pack nuisance, has re-surfaced. The old saying that reminds people to keep their friends close and their enemies closer comes to mind when Elena considers letting him back into the Pack, even though he is well-known for his cruel ways. However, when the Pack is approached by Davis, a Cain and rival family, for help, Malcolm just might be able to prove his worth…if he can follow directions the first time given. The problem is that the Cain crisis is larger than they expected, with a bounty that threatens all werewolves if left unchecked. Elena must make difficult decisions, not only for the Pack, but also to establish Pack dominance and strength, and some decisions might leave a bad taste in her mouth.
Readers who enjoy Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld series will be delighted with another installment, and especially the artwork by Xaviere Daumarie that follows the story. New readers just might find a new favorite author. The only complaint is the brevity of the book – just a day’s read for some.
