This captivating novel is a search for hope, longing, love, and redemption in the desert landscapes of rural Oman as one man tries to overcome a lifetime of disappointment so he can feel like he is worthy enough for Thamna, a lone shepherd woman, he meets on the side of a mountain.

Azzan is a beekeeper in the rural mountains of Oman where he tends he bees and searches for wild hives. One day he meets Thamna on a mountain slope. Immediately he is captivated by her and her honey-colored eyes. Azzan will then work to overcome his past, where he became a disappointment to his family, and his present to discover the that beekeeping can provide solace to a troubled soul.

This is a very lyrical work, which some readers might have trouble with since there are no traditional markings indicating who is speaking and the like. But for those readers who enjoy lyrical books, as the author is also a poet, will be transported to a rich and vibrant world among the bees.
