Hooks Can Be Deceiving: A Crochet Mystery

Molly Pink anxiously awaits the Craftee Channel’s newest talk show about crocheting to begin filming at the bookstore. It’s the perfect opportunity to draw attention to the bookstore until Molly discovers the host doesn’t know anything about crochet. As Molly and the Tarzana Hookers rally together for a quick lesson, a new mystery comes her way when Connie and Marianne join the group. After Connie is murdered and Marianne is the likely suspect, Molly is asked to investigate.

Molly finds a new ally, which leads to humorous moments as she tries to keep it a secret. She turns to her best friend for help to sneakily sleuth out clues. Their friendship is a sweet part of every mystery and one of the best aspects of the series. A new friendship enters her life via her investigating when she seeks out answers from Marianne and makes a genuine connection. Molly’s love life may be steady, but the spark she still has with her ex takes a delightful twist. Another delightful treat from Betty Hechtman, Hooks Can Be Deceiving tasks amateur sleuth Molly Pink with solving another murder as she balances a talk show, sleuthing, crocheting, and some romance.
