Many a Twist: A County Cork Mysery
While managing her pub in the Irish village of Leap, Maura Donovan gets a big surprise. The mother who abandoned her at two years of age shows up. She is hoping to be able to build a relationship with her daughter. Unfortunately, her boss, John Byrne, who recently bought the nearby Crann Mor Hotel, has been found dead on the hotel grounds.
It’s a good thing Maura has the ear of the local police, since that makes it easier for her to help with the investigation. Conflicted by her feelings for her mother, she knows she has to try to help find out what happened at the hotel the night John Byrne died. Was it an accident or could it be murder? No one is sure. But Maura knows she has to find out before she can build any form of trust with her mother.
Grab a cup of tea, sit back, and enjoy this cozy mystery. Shelia Connolly is a good storyteller with the ability to create an authentic atmosphere, providing hours of entertainment. This is the seventh in her County Cork Mystery series, and fans will be pleased with the return of familiar characters and the addition of a few new ones. Hopefully, there will be another installment.
