When Gregor Maravilla met Robert Drill, a millionaire and philanthropist, Gregor decided he was going to save the children. Robert Drill said so, after all. So when Drill puts together a camp to save the world, aptly named Camp Save the World, Gregor applies and is accepted. He’s full of expectations and ideals, but when he gets to camp, he sees that not everyone takes their campaign so seriously. Like, what’s up with Man’s Rights? And Anti-Robotics? Seriously? Then when movie star Ashley Woodstone shows up with her campaign, Eat dirt, he knows that something is not right, and he’s determined to find out, whether it destroys his belief in Drill or not.

While Gregor’s sheer naivete will inspire much laughter, especially when Gregor considers the fun he should be having at camp, it is the satire and irony of the various causes that will glean the most humorous responses. It takes a certain skill to bring references of previous books into a current work, so what a delight to see a reference to Moldavsky’s first book, Kill the Boy Band. No Good Deed is as light-hearted and entertaining as her first book was dark and morbidly funny.
