Pride, Prejudice, and Other Flavors: A Novel
Trish Raje is a neurosurgeon, and a damn good one, yet she’s still the odd one out in her wealthy family. She’s brilliant but socially awkward, and she’s haunted by one major bad decision from her past, a decision which even now is threatening to derail her brother’s political goals. Meanwhile, DJ Caine is an amazing chef with a bright future, and catering a huge political fundraiser for the Rajes is sure to catapult his career to stardom. At the same time, he’s trying to care for his younger sister, who was recently diagnosed with a tumor on her optic nerve. The first time Trish and DJ meet, it’s somewhat disastrous, but the two do their best to get along because of DJ’s job and because Trish is literally the only surgeon with the skill necessary to successfully remove his sister’s tumor. But is there more in their future than just an uneasy working relationship?
Pride, Prejudice, and Other Flavors is a fun novel that gives a new spin to the classic story of love and personal prejudices. Readers will quickly get sucked into the story, and find themselves emotionally vested in the characters. The twists and turns come quick but stay tuned for an ending that is satisfying on all fronts.
