Shadow in the Glass (A Greer Hogan Mystery Book 2)
Ex-librarian Greer Hogan finds herself solving another mystery in Shadow in the Glass. She is attending her friend, Sarah’s, third wedding and is excited to help out. Many of the people at the wedding are friends and family she knows. Many of the friends are ones that she and her deceased husband knew together. As Greer tries to push aside her thoughts about why Danny was really killed, she finds herself in the middle of another homicide. One of the guests, a woman named Brittany who worked with Sarah’s father, Desmond, is found floating in the lake. Greer quickly puts her detective glasses on and goes to work.
I really loved the characters in this book. Greer is easy to like and very smart. Several of the women are very eccentric but are very humorous at times in the book. As Greer sneaks her way to this place and that on the family property, she collects clues with the help of her friend, and possible love interest, Ian. I really loved this story until the end came. You know, the part where the mystery gets solved. This completely fell flat and I was so disappointed when the truth was revealed. A good read if you don’t mind a horrible ending.
