Snow in Love

We rated this book:

Snow in Love brings together four holiday stories to cheer up readers’ winters. “Snow in Mistletoe” is a somewhat predictable but still adorable story of a winter road trip that turns romantic. The characters have great chemistry and relatable banter. In “Working in a Winter Wonderland,” the protagonist is “more of a Hanukkah girl” but takes a job as a Christmas Elf to earn money to buy the perfect party dress. The story teaches readers that there’s magic everywhere, even where we’re least expecting it, and that there is often more to people than first meets the eye. “The Magi’s Gifts” is a modernized version of O. Henry’s “The Gift of the Magi,” so it will be predictable to readers familiar with the original, but readers new to the story will enjoy the themes of sacrifice and love. Finally, “Grounded” takes readers on a holiday scavenger hunt through an airport. The romance here feels a bit sudden, but the overall story is still feel-good and fun, even as it thoughtfully tackles serious questions of race and identity.
