Song of the Abyss
When I first read Isle of Blood and Stone, I was completely hooked, enthralled, and in love with the way the story was written and told. Imagine my surprise and joy when I realized we’d be getting a book with a beloved character we already knew and adored. While these books are standalone novels, I believe there’s magic in reading the first book before you start Song of the Abyss. Right away, we are with Reyna on a boat. She’s not you’re typical girl, as you’ll come to find out. She then meets the crowned Prince of Lunes. He was dreamy and has everything readers could want in a hero. I thought the action was perfect, and never once did I feel the story dragged. It was exciting from start to finish. Reyna was the perfect character. She’s strong yet vulnerable; I don’t know why, but I really like it when that happens. Readers who are looking for fantasy elements with some romance are in for a treat! I wish I could read it again for the first time.
