Strange Visitor At Growley Farm (book 1 of Series- Adventures of Artetrim)- Animal Stories of Factory Farming, Aliens: Thriller Adventure With Tree People, Animal People & Galaxy Alien vs Evil Humans
Artetrim enjoys exploring the galaxy, visiting other planets, and finding life in the great energy of the galaxy. It is beautiful, being in tune with the universe and everything in it as well as being able to communicate with everyone and everything. So one can imagine the surprise Artetrim feels upon arriving on Earth, where the strongest creatures are absolutely not in tune with the planet. Humans are the dominant animal, and they don’t hesitate to use other creatures and plants in whatever ways they would like. In particular, Artetrim is horrified at the way that humans keep other animals on farms, stuck in tiny cages, surrounded by filth, unable to breathe fresh air or feel the sun on their backs. Horror is replaced by righteous anger, and Artetrim conspires with the other plants and animals of Earth to rise up and free the chickens held captive on Growley Farm.
Strange Visitor at Growley Farmis a short read that aims to educate readers on the horrors of factory farming under the guise of a sci-fi story. And while the premise is interesting, the story could handle a lot more fleshing out, as it were. More descriptions, more character building, and a longer build-up to the main action would all make the story better, and perhaps mask the underlying vegan activism that might turn off some readers. With some work, this could be a great story. But as it is now, this book falls a bit flat.
