Summer at the Cape: A Novel

When sisters Cami and Violet go back home to Cape Sanctuary to visit their mother, the air is grim as they mourn the death of Violet’s twin Lily. At the same time, Cami is there to help her mom Rosemary save Lily’s dream of having a glamping campground where people can come to relax and be pampered. Franklin, the owner of the grounds the glamping business is on, is showing signs of dementia and his son John has come into town to stop the use of that land for the glamping business. As Cami, an attorney fights for her sister’s dream, she finds herself very attracted to the rugged John. Meanwhile, Violet is grieving her twin’s death and runs into her ex-boyfriend. The boyfriend who broke her heart over a decade ago.

This book is wonderfully written with romance, humor, and a little bit of sadness all in one. I really enjoyed reading about the relationships between all of the characters and how they come together in the end. Some relationships are unexpected and some have it coming. The characters are all likable and the people of Cape Sanctuary are the type of people anyone would love to call their friends and neighbors. Summer at the Cape is a heartwarming and feel-good book.
