The ’90s: Life on the Road
In the second book of the My Life series, T.J. Wray is back to tell about his adult years in the 1990’s. The ‘90s: Life on the Road is the story of his life when he was forced to overcome obstacles that would more than likely bring a normal person down and keep them there. For Wray, he always looks at things in the best light and asks, “What’s next?” to keep him going. With dreams leading him in one direction, he was forced to make a 180 degree turn and figure something new out for his life after sustaining a life-changing injury. His problems started when he was working and broke his back. Even though he was partially disabled, he still found a career in the truck driving business. Wray was able to travel across the country, see wonderful sights, have working freedom, and get paid!
For most of the book, Wray gives many stories from his years of truck driving and schooling, which personally gives me a different perspective on the semis I see on the road and their drivers. I am amazed that with everything he’s been through in his life, he sees those challenges as learning opportunities and will find some good in them. Personally, he seems like a great role model, and I hope to read more from him in the future.
