With many alphabet books in circulation, it takes originality and creativity to make another A,B,C book stand out; finding a book like The Little i Who Lost His Dot is like finding the sweet blueberry in the mix of the bland. The storyline follows little i who woke up for school, and his alphabet friends notice that he is missing his dot. The alphabet friends are genuinely trying to find things around them to replace his dot. As this is going on, the reader is introduced to the letters of the alphabet as they take turns proudly showing their finds to little i. This book deserves a five-star rating because of its uniqueness and fun illustrations that are geared toward children of all ages to keep their attention. At the conclusion of the story, children will learn that they either need to keep a better eye on their things or there will come a time in their lives when they grow older and are given more responsibility (i.e. starting a sentence).
