The Pirate Bride: Daughters of the Mayflower – Book 2

The Pirate Bride gives readers another saga of the
Daughter of the Mayflower series and the extended family of Mary and William Lytton. This story has all the adventure and romance of a swashbuckler movie of years ago. The dashing and handsome Captain Jean Beaumont finds he has an 11-year-old tomboy on his hands. Maribel Cordoba finds she is completely content to become one of Captain Beaumont’s crew even though the crew did mention it was bad luck to have a woman on the ship. The captain himself has to admit she did make an impression on not only the crew but on him, this girl with the flaming red hair and emerald green eyes who never stops talking and who even the crew has become fond of, who they call Red.

But when the ship is attacked by the French and Maribel falls from the ship and the captain is seriously injured, their two paths are changed. Maribel spends the next 11 years in an orphanage on the Island of Saint Marie run by nuns and the dashing captain returns home to New Orleans and to his real life as part of the wealthy Valmunt family.

As fate would have it, these two are destined to be together, and in true romantic fashion, the captain and Maribel find each other and–well, I’ll let you read the story. It’s one you’ll enjoy and want to pass on to a friend.

Excellent story, fast paced, and totally absorbing from page one to the end. I myself pictured the captain as Errol Flynn, who I considered one of the all-time best swashbucklers. Oops, did I date myself with that comment?
