Time for Bed, Old House
Isaac is very excited. He has new pajamas, and he loves to play with Grandpop whenever they are together. But he doesn’t like the idea of sleeping over at Grandpop’s house. So he announces that he isn’t sleepy. That’s okay. Grandpop says Isaac can stay up, but they need to put the house to bed. Isaac has never heard of that. He and Grandpop begin to walk through the house, and Grandpop shows him how. They need to move slowly and quietly and make the house cozy and dark. They turn off the lights and pull down the window shades. They go to Isaac’s momma’s old room and sit together in a big chair. Grandpop asks Isaac to read him a bedtime story, and he does.
